ViaQuest Inc. Honored for Efforts in Community Outreach
Since the company’s founding in 1999, our client, ViaQuest Inc., has worked tirelessly to serve and assist individuals who have limited or no access to health care. This mission has earned them an honorable mention for community outreach at Columbus Business First’s 2015 Health Care Heroes awards. The program recognizes those who have made an impact on health care in the Columbus community through their concern for patients, research and inventions, management skills, innovative programs for employees and service to the poor and uninsured.
ViaQuest’s personalized approach to providing home health, hospice, disability and behavioral health services has greatly impacted the Central Ohio community and health care industry by encouraging others in the industry to re-evaluate the way care is delivered to patients and ask if more can be done.
Among the many cases that impressed Columbus Business First was one with a patient named Ken, who was suffering from a stroke and memory loss. ViaQuest collaborated with his hospital and a personal care facility to relocate him to a more ideal location. ViaQuest covered his room and board, medications, nursing services and other related costs for his care. A second example is the company’s innovative Mobile Treatment Team. Led by a distinguished psychiatrist, the Mobile Treatment Team is made up of psychiatric nurses, social workers, nurse practitioners and certified home health aides. The team works collaboratively with long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and other care facilities to deliver personalized mental health care to individuals, wherever they may be located.
Health Care Heroes recognizes that ViaQuest is at the forefront of new trends in the health care industry. By pushing health care professionals to offer more personalized care to patients and offering health care to those who can’t make it to the doctor’s office, ViaQuest is reshaping the way patients receive care and is setting new standards in Central Ohio.
