Let the Journey Continue

Looking back at the past seven months, I can’t believe how much I have learned as an intern here at Marketing Works. The experience and knowledge I have gained is more than I could have ever been taught during my four years of college.

Being my first job at an agency, I knew I had a lot to learn, and I’m so grateful I have had such a supportive team who has set me up for great success.

The small office “family” culture created opportunities for me I likely wouldn’t have had anywhere else. I have been able to work on a variety of projects such as social media, PR, strategy, messaging, content creation, new business and adobe creative suite.

This diverse experience helped me discover what excites me in marketing – Strategy! Being able to develop a strategy based on how a client defines success, which leads to results-oriented marketing, is an area that has really sparked my interest. As well, doing market research, competitive audits and interviews for new business development has been an area that I feel I have excelled in. I am so thankful Marketing Works has allowed me to explore so many different areas and industries that have allowed me to find myself.

When I look back, the person I was before this internship is completely different from whom I am now. I have had the chance to learn so much about myself and grow personally and professionally. Seeing what I have been capable of learning and accomplishing has given me confidence in myself I never had before.

Of course, I have only touched the surface of working at an agency, which is why I’m so excited that I have been given the opportunity to continue at Marketing Works as a project coordinator consultant, where I have the chance to learn more and more every day.

Thank you Marketing Works for giving me this invaluable experience. I can’t wait to see what my future holds.
