Hi, My name is Meghan Fitzsimmons. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio but I am currently pursuing a degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. My major is Communication and I have declared a double minor in Marketing and Public Relations.
Being able to collaborate with Marketing Works as an intern this summer is such an exciting opportunity. Involvement in a successful marketing company is something I have anticipated since I began college and embarked on the journey of preparing for life after graduation. I hope to sit in on meetings and work with the team to further my understanding of marketing outside of the classroom. It is clear that this company will be able to fulfill these desires and help me achieve my goals of understanding all the aspects of marketing including:
- Networking
- SEO
- Lead generation
- Sales
- Familiarizing with relevant programs
- Collaborating with clients to meet their needs
I am looking forward to exposure in the different aspects of the industry before I graduate and enter the workforce. I will also admit that I had nerves coming into a professional environment but the team here immediately put them at ease with their inviting nature and willingness to help me reach my goals. Overall I am incredibly grateful for this learning experience and hope to apply the knowledge and experience I gain to my future endeavors!
