This policy explains what information marketingworks360.com collects, why, and who else handles it. The site is run by Marketing Works, 740 Lakeview Plaza Blvd., Suite 100, Worthington, OH 43085. Questions or requests about your information can go to info@marketingworks360.com or 614-540-5520.
Information you send us
The contact form asks for your first and last name, your email address and a message. When you submit it, we keep:
- what you typed into the form
- the date and time you sent it
- your IP address and the type of browser you used, which the form software records to help spot spam
The submission is saved in the website’s database and emailed to Marketing Works staff so we can reply. We use it to answer you and to follow up on the conversation you started. We don’t add you to a mailing list because you filled out the form.
If you email or call us using the addresses and number on the site, we get whatever you include in that email or call.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use it, but only if you allow it in the cookie banner (see Cookies and your choices below). When allowed, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and records things like the pages you view, how you arrived, your general location, and your device and browser. It also records three actions on the site: a successful contact form submission, a click on an email link and a click on a phone link. For those actions it records which form or link type it was and the page it happened on. It does not receive anything you typed into the form.
Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. Google keeps this data for the retention period set on our Analytics account. You can see how Google uses it at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We don’t run advertising or remarketing tags on this site.
Spam protection
The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at how the page is used to tell people from automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data, and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms).
Cookies and your choices
On your first visit a banner asks whether you’ll allow analytics cookies. Nothing optional runs until you choose. “Accept all” turns Google Analytics on, “Reject all” keeps it off, and “Choose” lets you decide for each category. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops measuring your visits and the site deletes the Analytics cookies it can reach.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no: analytics stays off and the banner doesn’t ask. You can still turn analytics on yourself from Cookie settings.
The cookies the site can set:
mw_consentremembers your cookie choice for 180 days. It is necessary and set only once you choose.- Google Analytics cookies (named
_gaand_ga_followed by an ID) tell return visits apart from new ones. They are set only if you allow analytics, and they last up to two years. - Google reCAPTCHA sets a cookie on the contact page for spam protection. It is necessary for the form to work.
- Marketing Works staff who sign in to manage the site get WordPress login cookies. Visitors don’t, since the site has no public accounts.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though the contact form may ask you to try again if reCAPTCHA can’t run.
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in California law.
Embedded videos
Some Insights articles include videos embedded from YouTube or Vimeo. YouTube videos load in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Vimeo videos load with its do-not-track setting. When you play a video, the service can still collect data about you, the same as if you visited its site directly, and if you’re signed in to it, it can link the viewing to your account. Content from services that have no privacy mode, such as Facebook, SlideShare or Google Maps, doesn’t load until you click “Load it”.
Who else handles your information
- WP Engine hosts the website and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
- Google provides Analytics and reCAPTCHA, as described above.
- Our email provider delivers form notifications to our staff.
We don’t sell or rent the information you send us.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions stay in the website’s database and in our email until we no longer need them for the conversation or for our business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@marketingworks360.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may keep information we’re required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change what the site collects, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
