One of the founding principles of Marketing Works is to serve as a conduit of success for everyone we touch, and our interns are no exception. Our three-month internship program sets our interns up for success by offering them a real-world, hands-on experience.
We thought it would be fun to reflect on some of our past interns to see how Marketing Works impacted their lives and what they’ve been up to since they left.
Alex Lunder (August 2015 – November 2015)
- Background:
- A native of Cleveland, Alex joined Marketing Works after graduating from Cleveland State University. He began at CSU as a physical therapy major but later switched to marketing with a health care focus.
- Where is he now?
- After interning with Marketing Works, Alex joined inVentiv Medical Communications as an Associate Account Executive in the Dallas, Texas office. He works with two pharmaceutical clients to host educational events across the country that are geared toward educating doctors on new drugs and research.

Kaitor Kposowa (July 2015 – August 2015)
- Background:
- Kaitor, a Cincinnati native, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University followed by a Master’s of Journalism degree from Ohio University.
- Where is he now?
- After his internship with Marketing Works Kaitor joined WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he followed his dream of TV broadcasting and is now working as a reporter.

Kristen McKee (February 2013 – May 2013)
- Background:
- Kristen, a Dublin, Ohio native, studied at the University of Dayton where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with minors in Marketing and Psychology. Before interning with Marketing Works, Kristen held a variety of marketing and PR internships with organizations like the Memorial Tournament, My Media Hunter and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
- Where is she now?
- After completing her internship, Kristen continued working at Marketing Works for two and a half years; first as an Account Coordinator and later an Account Manager. She then took her agency experience to the corporate world and is currently working as a communication specialist at Cardinal Health.
Jess Hellmich (August 2011 – November 2011) 
- Background:
- Jess joined Marketing Works after graduating from San Diego State University-California State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Personal and Social Psychology. Prior to accepting his internship with us, Jess worked as a publicity and promotions intern for Lionsgate & Warner Bros. Picture.
- Where is he now?
- Jess transitioned his internship with Marketing Works into a Coordinator position, then was promoted to Account Manager. He worked with us for two and a half years before being hired by a client, Feazel Roofing. Jess began working at Feazel as a Marketing Manager and has since been promoted to Marketing Director.
